Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Website users may browse the site without providing any identifying information such as their name or contact details. Pradecon collects such personal data only when it is voluntarily provided by the user, namely through the contact form available on the website.

The personal data collected is limited to what is submitted by the user and may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Files attached by the user (where applicable)

Users are asked not to include in attached files any sensitive data or personal data of third parties that is not necessary for their request.

Technical Data

When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically records technical data, such as IP address, browser type, and date and time of access. This data is processed solely to ensure the security and proper functioning of the website, on the basis of Pradecon's legitimate interest, and is kept only for the short period set by the hosting provider's logging policy.

Pradecon may also collect non-personal information intended to improve and optimise site navigation, through the use of cookies. By consenting to the use of cookies the first time you visit the website, in accordance with our Cookie Policy, you allow us to use such cookies whenever you use or visit the website.

Purpose of Processing

The personal data collected through the contact form is processed exclusively for the purpose of:

  • Responding to requests for information, quotes or commercial enquiries submitted by the user;
  • Managing any resulting pre-contractual or contractual relationship.

The data is not used for direct marketing purposes, automated decision-making, profiling, or any other purpose not indicated above.

Legal Basis

The processing of personal data is based on:

  • The necessity to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract, for requests for quotes and commercial proposals (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);
  • Pradecon's legitimate interest in responding to general enquiries addressed to it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
  • Compliance with legal obligations, where applicable, namely tax and accounting obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Retention Period

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Enquiries that do not result in a commercial relationship: up to 2 years after the last contact;
  • Where a commercial relationship is established: for the duration of that relationship and thereafter for the periods required by law (e.g. 10 years for accounting records).

After these periods, the data is securely deleted or anonymised. Attached files are subject to the same retention periods.

Data Processors and Recipients

To operate the website and process enquiries received, Pradecon relies on the following data processors, which process personal data on behalf of and under the instructions of Pradecon, under a data processing agreement in accordance with Article 28 GDPR:

  • Vercel Inc. — website hosting and infrastructure;
  • Resend — sending and managing messages submitted through the contact form;
  • Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft 365) — email services used to receive and manage enquiries.

Pradecon does not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties without the prior consent of the data subject, except where required by law, court order, or where necessary to provide the services listed above.

International Data Transfers

Some of the processors listed above (namely Vercel and Resend) process or store data on servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), in the United States of America. These transfers are carried out subject to appropriate safeguards, namely:

  • The EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which both providers are certified; and
  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, included in the respective data processing agreements.

Data Security

Pradecon is committed to ensuring the confidentiality of personal data and implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, taking into account the state of the art and the nature of the data processed.

Rights of the Data Subject

All personal data relating to customers or visitors who use the Pradecon website is processed in accordance with applicable national and European personal data protection legislation. Under the applicable legislation, the data subject has the right, at any time and free of charge, to:

  • Access their personal data;
  • Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request erasure of their data ("right to be forgotten"), where applicable;
  • Request restriction of processing;
  • Object to processing based on Pradecon's legitimate interest;
  • Request data portability, where applicable.

These rights may be exercised by sending a message to geral@pradecon.pt. Pradecon will respond within one month of receiving the request and may ask for information to confirm the identity of the requester.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority:
