Pradecon Joins Forces with Actium Capital and Draycott: A New Chapter in Solar Energy Excellence

In a landmark move poised to accelerate the renewable energy sector, Pradecon – Construções Metálicas has been acquired by investment firms Draycott and Actium Capital. This strategic acquisition underscores the growing importance of engineering prowess and production efficiency in engineering solar structure solutions.

Founded in 2000, Pradecon has established itself as a leader in designing and manufacturing photovoltaic mounting structures. With a turnover of €61 million and a dedicated team of 30 employees, the company boasts an impressive industrial capacity of 80,000 tonnes per year and an installed capacity of 2,000 MWp annually. Pradecon’s multidisciplinary engineering team is renowned for delivering tailored solutions that ensure efficient and optimized structures, coupled with swift production and delivery timelines.

The Portuguese Competition Authority (AdC) issued a non-opposition decision to the acquisition, recognizing that the transaction does not pose significant obstacles to effective competition in the national market.

Actium Capital has highlighted Pradecon as a global operator in the solar energy value chain, specifically in the production and delivery of mounting solutions for the development of photovoltaic parks. This partnership is expected to leverage Pradecon’s engineering capabilities and production capacity to meet the increasing demand for renewable energy infrastructure worldwide.
